Love Your Neighborhood Day
Clean-Up and BBQ
Sunday, April 23rd, clean-up from 10-12, BBQ at 1:30pm

Let’s tidy up BBH together! The Board is organizing multiple crews to tackle neighborhood areas like the Walnut Lane circle garden, the Daniel St. step garden, Thomas Mansion, the BBH Meadow park, and to work with the Wissahickon Restoration Volunteers in the Monoshone watershed.
Our clean-up work will be rewarded with a Potluck BBQ at the pavilion in the meadow park.
Interested in doing more? Volunteer to be a Crew Leader! We will have 5 separate crews working throughout the neighborhood that day. To sign-up, contact Brooke at brooke.giles.sgro@gmail.com.
Unable to help clean-up? We’d still love to see you at the BBQ.

Have an idea for a BBH community activity? Let’s do it!
Contact a board member to get it started.

Wissahickon Restoration Volunteers
Invasive removal day: Sunday, April 23rd from 10-12
Native planting day: Sunday, June 3rd from 10-12

Steve Jones from the WRV, which is now located out of RittenhouseTown, spoke at our last Civic meeting about restoration work to the Monoshone watershed between Daniel St. and RittenhouseTown. WRV is a member-supported, volunteer-driven nonprofit founded in 1997 that actively protects and improves the natural environment within the nearly 2,000-acre urban park. WRV is dedicated to the restoration of the natural areas of the park. Learn more at wissahickonrestorationvolunteers.org.

Together with the Civic, WRV will be hosting two works days. The first, which is being combined with our BBH clean-up day, is an invasive removal day. The second is a native planting day.
