Time for our popular BBH neighborhood potluck gathering at the Philadelphia Canoe Club, behind SEPTA’s Wissahickon transfer station on Ridge Avenue at the entrance to Kelly Drive .
POTLUCK! Bring a generous dish to share—entrée, salad or dessert. Also bring your favorite holiday beverages. The BBH Civic Association will provide plates, cups, utensils, soda and ice.
THAT’S NOT ALL: Bring your musical instruments, favorite songs and good cheer to share by the roaring fire!
A donation to cover the cost of the party will be requested. There will also be an opportunity to sign up as an official member of the Blue Bell Hill Civic Association for the year 2013.

IMPORTANT GENERAL MEETING: Walnut Lane Bridge

This important program will focus on Walnut Lane Bridge repairs and planned closure in 2014—which will goes into final planning and scheduling stages in just a few months. You’ll hear speakers from:
• PENNDOT, who will conduct the Bridge repairs on this state road project.
• CITY STREETS DEPARTMENT, who have major repairs planned for Lincoln Drive in either 2014 or 2015 and must coordinate with the state on detours and mitigation.
• SEPTA, concerning the popular Route 65 bus that crosses the bridge and makes several stops along Walnut Lane in our neighborhood.
The Civic Association has invited leaders from other Northwest communities, civic and business organizations on both sides of the Wissahickon Valley so we can all hear this significant information update and begin planning coordinated stakeholder input and response on these multiple projects.
Thanks to Councilman Curtis Jones’ office for helping line up speakers and develop
community input on these projects.
